OUR HISTORY

The history of the Trevalli Cooperlat started in 1960. Below, all the evolutionary stages of the company.

  • 1960

The Count Giovan Battista Lucangeli and the Marquis Giuseppe Trionfi Honorati found the Clamj (Agrifood Central Dairy of Macerata-Jesi), in Macerata. The company is represented on the market by the brand Trevalli, which is an iconic brand, recalling in its name the three valleys of the rivers: Esino, Potenza, and Chienti.

  • The 70's

The firm-specific advantages in technologies on the one hand and the lack of strong competitors on the other hand, make the Clamj and the Trevalli brand, powerful protagonists first in the regional dairy industry, and then in the national one. In fact, the company, in this decade, stabilizes its position in the market; not only in the Marche region, but also in the Abruzzo, Puglia and Calabria regions and Sicily. The Trevalli branded products are distributed in the national market. During the second half of the 70s, the company promotes the production of vegetable-based preparations for cooking and confectionery. In particular, this period brings to the birth of the brand Hoplà, a point of reference today, for what concerns the universe of vegetable fats based products, both for domestic use and professional bakery.

  • 1982 - 85

In 1982 the Confcooperative Marche, favouring the aggregation of 9 zootechnical cooperatives and social dairy farms, gives birth to Trevalli Cooperlat.

  • 1985 - 90

During this quinquennium, the company starts a series of acquisitions of other firms operating in different Italian regions: San Giorgio, Colavev (Lombardia); Latte Reggiano (Emilia-Romagna); Latte Cigno (Abruzzo); Valmetauro and Sibilla (Marche).

The shareholders' composition of the cooperative venture is enlarged, passing from 9 to 15 agricultural cooperatives located in 9 different Italian regions.

  • 1991

Trevalli Cooperlat conducts an internal phase of reorganization, as to rationalize and improve the efficiency of technical, productive and commercial processes.

  • 1992 - 99

The Cooperlat supports the Fattorie Marchigiane society and acquires a firm operating in the Veneto region, the Deltalat, in Rovigo.

The Cooperlat establishes a partnership with the greek company Torre. This agreement leads to the creation of a joint-venture for productive and sale purposes able to extend the company’s interests both in Greece and in the Balkans. The Torre Cooperlat is a new subsidiary, to witness the international expansion and the strengthening of the Cooperlat’s presence and operations in the Balkans.

  • 2000 - 06

The Cooperlat focuses its attention on Quality policies and obtains the certification ISO: 9001/2000. The company implements a strategy for products’ innovation, aimed at guaranteeing on the one hand the origin and the traceability and on the other hand the added value of its products. Exemplifying cases of this strategy are the High Quality Fresh Milk, typical cheeses and PDO cheeses and vegetable fat-based products. Contemporarily the growth of the network of aggregated cooperatives proceeds with the acquisition of the Central Dairy of Ascoli Piceno and the cooperative venture Abit, in Turin (in Piedmont).

  • 2007 - 08

Acquisition of the Central Dairy Pontino, in Aprilia (in the Lazio region).

  • 2008 - 16

From 2008 to present days, the corporate structure of the Trevalli Cooperlat, articulated in a network of local firms controlled and coordinated at a central level, has reached higher and higher levels of competitiveness through commercial, productive and distributive synergies, favouring the integration of the agricultural supply chain. This strategy allowed the company to enhance the strength of its processing and selling phases.

  • 2018
Trevalli Cooperlat acquires Migali, hystoric brand of the Ambrosi Group focused on the Mozzarella Cheese Market and leader in the pizza distribution channel of the Veneto region. This acquisition, though, concretizes an important industrial and commercial alliance between two great players of the Italian dairy-cheese market.
